"Although the congregation is entirely contemplative, the monasteries are not autonomous. It means that, since the congregation was approved after Consilium Vaticano II, the internal organisation corresponds to a congregation and not to a traditional monastic order. There is a General Mother with her council, only one noviciate and only one juniorate. The Sisters, once they have finished the training period, can be moved from one monastery to another as convenient. The generalist positions are chosen in General Chapter (every 6 years) and the communities are designated by the General Mother and her council every 3 years. This circumstance makes all monasteries to have exactly the same life so that every Oblata lives the same life until the most little detail and the fraternal spirit is developed and strengthened between all the Sisters. This way the Oblata will always be ready to satisfy Gos’s will wherever He wants to take her." There are currently 5 monasteries in Spain and 1 monastery in Peru.
