After the inauguration of the
Mother-Monastery, Salamanca was the first foundation of the
Congregation.
On 11 October 1949, the Monastery was founded in an isolated part of
the city, away from buildings and blocks. However, the University of
Salamanca grew up together with the city, surrounding the Monastery.
Nowadays, the Monastery is completed surrounded by the Campus. Thus,
the Monastery of Oblatas de Cristo Sacerdote is an oasis of silence
and prayer in the within the noisy and busy life of the students.
Some of them do not know what that building is; others have
discovered the chapel and enter there to pray.
