Oblates of Christ Priest: their prayers

The Oblate joins Jesus’ prayer: “I do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the evil one. They do not belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate them in the truth. Your word is truth.” (Jn 17, 15-17). The Oblates of Christ Priest are, in earth, the uninterrupted prolongation of the priestly prayer “not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word… so that they may all be one”. (Jn 17, 19-21).
And while the Oblata sleeps, her sleep will continue to be a prayer “pro eis” and for the whole Church, which incessant goes up to Heaven.

From the unworthy distribution of the goods of the Church,

From the love of the world and its vanities,

From the unworthy celebration of Your Mysteries,

By Your eternal priesthood,

By the holy anointing whereby You were constituted a priest by God the Father,

By Your priestly spirit,

By that ministry whereby You glorified Your Father on earth,

By Your bloody immolation realized once and for all upon the Cross,

By that same sacrifice renewed daily upon the altar,

0 God, Sanctifier and Protector of Your Church, raise up in her through Your Spirit fitting and faithful administrators of the Holy Mysteries, so that through their ministry and example the Christian people may be led under Your protection along the way of salvation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
