Prayer,
Oblta's life
The Oblate joins Jesus’ prayer: “I do not ask that you take them out
of the world but that you keep them from the evil one. They do not
belong to the world any more than I belong to the world. Consecrate
them in the truth. Your word is truth.” (Jn 17, 15-17). The Oblates
of Christ Priest are, in earth, the interrupted prolongation of the
priestly prayer “not only for them, but also for those who will
believe in me through their word… so that they may all be one”. (Jn
17, 19-21).
And while the Oblata sleeps, her sleep will continue to be a prayer
“pro eis” and for the whole Church, which incessant goes up to
Heaven.
This prayer, whose lyrics is
taken from the Gospel of John, 17 expresses the specific charisma of the
Congregation.
"To beg and to consecrate oneself (oblation with Christ) for them (the
priests) and for those who believe in Him after their word (Church)"
Lyrics: Jn , 17

Yo te ruego por ellos Padre Santo, porque tuyos son.
Yo te ruego por ellos Padre Santo,
protege tú mismo a los que me confiaste,
para que sean uno, como lo somos nosotros;
Yo te ruego por ellos, Padre santo.
Yo por su amor me consagro;
No sólo ruego por estos,
ruego también por los que van a creer en mí
por medio de su palabra.
